As yoga teachers we support each other on our mats, in our business efforts, and in our everyday lives. We recognize that there is no one size fits all practice; we are diverse and individually unique in our preferences and yoga paths. We have the fortunate ability to share our love filled space and to unite under one roof in a co-op type fashion. The Yoga House is a cooperative model allowing students to directly support their teachers; your affordable class fee goes directly to your teacher. The Yoga House is a collective of people who share in Yoga, Pilates, Dance, Massage, Acupuncture and much more.

HEATED FLOW TEACHER, ANNA BAZALAR

 Anna began her study in gymnastics at the age of 8 and continued her entire life as an all around athlete. She loves to hike, swim, snowboard, and travel just about anywhere, anytime. She was introduced to yoga in 2001, however it wasn’t until her unfortunate knee injury in 2006 where she began to make yoga her main focus. In her process of rehabilitation, she quickly fell in love with it's calming, balancing, and healing benefits. She was immediately drawn to the spiritual aspects of yoga; It felt true and authentic. This feeling was reinforced as she gained a deeper understanding of yoga and how it relates to every day life. "It's an amazing feeling to carry yoga off your mat and bring it to everyday life experiences, allowing us to share our 'practice' with the rest of the world."

She fell in love with yoga and says it has helped her realize a calm, relaxed, happy way of being. She knew this was something she wanted to do as her career. She received her 200-hr RYTcertification with Heather Peterson, Core Power Yoga in Huntington Beach CA. Also, went on to get her 500-hr RYT with Erika Faith Calig, Cloud Nine Yoga, Huntington Beach, CA.

Anna aspires to help students not just physically, but also experience a sense of inner peace on a spiritual and mental level. She believes yoga can be for anyone despite his or her age or fitness level and can be a life changing practice.


ACUPUNCTURIST AND HERBALIST, LAURA MICHELE

Laura's goal as a practitioner is to meet each individual exactly where they are allowing freedom to discover and connect to their fullest potential creating a higher quality of life through natural means. This includes incorporating acupuncture itself as well as Chinese herbal medicine. Each individual treatment is catered to the client's needs.

Yogi extraordinaire and Mommy to a yogi in the making! Rebecca's infectious smile radiates her love of yoga, her desire to share with the young generations of yogi's coming forth is heartfelt.








YOGA INSTRUCTOR , JOELLA SHEPHERD
 JoElla, a certified yoga (E-RYT 500 hour level) and primordial sound meditation teacher, has spent the last 14 years studying, and ten years teaching, many traditional and modern forms of yoga.
Though she credits Anna Forrest and Saul David Raye as her primary teachers, she has spent many years exploring a variety of disciplines. JoElla has enjoyed extensive global travel including 8 trips to India to study with Sathya Sai Baba. JoElla spent 7 years teaching yoga and meditation for The Chopra Center, and spent several of those years teaching yoga and meditation internationally with Deepak and the Chopra Center staff. Having studied with many of the planets most revered teachers in Yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, quantum healing and mind body medicine she is honored to be able to share her acquired wisdom in a very modern and grounded way.


POWER YOGA INSTRUCTOR, LULU STRELTZER
Luana (Lulu) Streltzer MA, CYT, RYT
Yoga reminds us that we are connected, safe, and exactly where we need
to be. In Luana’s playful and energizing class she guides her yoga
students to listen to their bodies, notice what comes up in the mind,
and pay attention to the spaces in between. Practicing yoga over 14
years, she is certified in Power Vinyasa, Prenatal, Kids yoga and Thai
Yoga Bodywork. Luana also has received a Master’s degree in Tibetan
Buddhism and Sanskrit and enjoys integrating both into her classes.
Smiling and sweaty Luana’s students leave class rejuvenated, aligned,
and grounded.


YIN YOGA INSTRUCTOR, ANYA                                                                                                     
 Anya was born and raised in Russia’s Far Eastern region.After visiting Kauai, and feeling the spirit of the land, and hearing the soul’s calling from deep within, Anya made the move from Alaska to Hawaii in the Fall of 2008. She is happy living in Kauai for it brought Anya ever closer to her yearning and hearts passion ... the practice of Yoga. As Anya began her path to Self-realization she understood that in the practice of Yoga it was necessary to balance the dynamic Yang together with relaxing Yin making it a whole asana practice. Yoga is intended primarily to restore and maintain a practitioner's well-being, prepare for meditation and improve the body's flexibility and vitality. This has been the focus of Anya's study thus far, and it is her desire to give this healing knowledge to others.    


EVOLUTIONARY ASTROLOGER, PERLE MENASHE
 Throughout my life I have had an avid interest and undying passion for the depth of knowledge that Astrology provides. What I have come to know after at least 30 years of study and practice is a blend and synthesis of the teachings of some key astrologers who have paved the way to where we are now in this field. My favorites are Dane Rhudyar, Alan Olken and Steve Arroyo. The most recent addition to my understanding has come from Evolutionary Astrology a branch of Astrology birthed by the author of the Pluto books, Jeffrey Wolf Green.




HOT YOGA FLOW INSTRUCTOR KELI RANKE
 Keli began her practice studying, then teaching Bikram yoga in 2005 and has now transitioned into teaching hot flow. Melting traditions of hatha, vinyasa and anusara, her classes benefit anyone whether they are looking to build strength, balance, flexibility, or to quiet the mind and open the heart. Her intentions are to help students cultivate awareness on, then eventually off the mat and to help facilitate an on going enjoyment of their yoga practice. When we connect to the breath and are present in the moment, life becomes perfect just as it is and through practice, we are able to ignite this and flow through our days with harmony and ease.
Keli is currently in Canada


YOGA INSTRUCTOR AND MANTRA GODDESS ANANDRA
 Words like dynamic, creative, keen, funny, insightful, compassionate, trustworthy, and honest have been used to describe how Anandra expresses her spirit, but it’s really how she helps you tap into your own strengths that matters!

Anandra is currently traveling in Japan.






YOGA INSTRUCTOR/FITNESS TRAINER, KAREN KENNY

Karen is a certified Ashtanga Yoga Instructor, fitness trainer and self described yogaholic. Her yoga influences include Beryl Bender Birch, Rodney Yee, Kali Ray and Ana Forrest. She is an award winning triathlete who specializes in training endurance athletes.
Karen in currently traveling through Vietnam.





PILATES INSTRUCTOR AND EXERCISE GURU, TERRI HUNTER

Terri started Uplift Fitness to motivate everyone she trains to enjoy exercising and to finish feeling uplifted and empowered. Terri is a Certified ACE Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor, PhysicalMind Pilates Mat Instructor, and Fittrek Nordic Walking Instructor.

HATHA FLOW YOGA INSTRUCTOR, KATHRYN TRUSSELL

Katie has lived and traveled internationally and carried with her a passion to interrelate food and yoga. Her interest in Ayurveda was sparked in college and prompted her life's course. She traversed from Maine to the South Pacific to apprentice under an Ayurvedic practitioner which shortly led to her Yoga training in the spring of 2007.


BELLY DANCE TEACHER AND PERFORMER, NELLEKE

YOGA INSTRUCTOR AND ARTIST, PAUL REYNOLDS
 Donning shorts and stepping onto the mat as a Hatha Yoga Instructor Paul is well known for his “Eclectic Vinyasa” style of Hatha yoga. “Le Guru is You” blends his own intuitive outlook, with established forms to afford the beginning student a safe introduction to the art form and provides opportunities for the continuing yoga student to deepen their practice.





PERSONAL TRAINER, SANDI O'SHAUGHNESSY (AFAA)
 Sandi has incorporated kettlebells into a full body workout. She loves the cardio element of their use, and the fact that the body stays metabolic and burns fat for up to 48 hours after the workout. She is especially enthusiastic of kb use for women because the body improvement is quick and measurable. Kettlebell training does not build bulky muscle, but does create a long lean sculpted affect (targeting the core). In addition to using kbs, Sandi has a repertoire of whole body movements with origins in Pilates and traditional strength training. She is TRX certified and teaches personal training in her Kapaa gym, Iron Lotus Core Fitness.

AMBER NIGHTINGALE, CHILDREN'S YOGA INSTRUCTOR
  With a natural love for children, Amber Nightingale shares a Yoga practice that encourages self and bodily awareness, harmonious social play, and lots of fun!  Amber studied under Baba Hari Dass, earning a 200 hour certification in Traditional Ashtanga Yoga, and also holds a BA in English from the Maharishi University of Management.  With ten years of devotion to her personal practice, and background as a dancer and lover of movement, she has taught childrens yoga in both public schools and studios.  Amber delights in sharing the joy og yoga, and encourages children's self development through her playful     approach.
